1 dead, 9 injured in crash between small bus and SUV near Big Lake
BIG LAKE, Minn. (FOX 9) - A head-on crash between a small bus and an SUV near Big Lake, Minnesota left one person dead and nine others injured, according to Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott.
The collision happened around 3:10 p.m. on Sherburne County Road 15 near County Road 83 east of Big Lake. The bus was headed north on County Road 15 when it crashed with an SUV heading south.
One of the bus passengers, 47-year-old Marilyn Balogi of Zimmerman, died in the crash. The bus driver, seven other passengers and the SUV driver were all taken to a hospital.
Authorities believe weather and poor road conditions were factors in the crash.
