1 injured after car crashes into building, starts fire in Rochester, Minn.
ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 9) - One person is in the hospital after they crashed their car into a building early Saturday morning, igniting a fire in Rochester, Minnesota.
According to the Rochester Fire Department, around 1:14 a.m., crew responded to a crash and fire at 3918 18th Avenue Northwest where they found a car against a building engulfed in fire that was fed by the building's gas supply.
Before firefighters arrived, police were able to pull at least one person from the car.
Firefighters were able to control the fire and sut off the building's gas supply.
Authorities estimate the fire caused more than $200,000 in damage.
The fire department is still investigating the incident. No personnel were injured in the fire.
