2 women found dead in Minneapolis apartment Saturday night
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Minneapolis police are investigating after two women were found dead in an apartment complex late Saturday night.
According to police, around 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of gunshots heard at an apartment complex on the 300 block of 2nd Avenue Southeast.
When they arrived, officers found two females in the building who appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds. Investigators believe one of the victims is in her 60s the other in her 40s. The suspect, or suspects, fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival.
According to the Holmes Park Apartment website, the complex is a seven-story 77-unit Section 8 housing for seniors and disabled. Officers say Sunday they had some officers in the halls of the complex as a safety measures for the residents.
Investigators canvassed the area and spoke with several people who may have heard or seen something.
