3 boats damaged in fire on Lake Minnetonka Sunday

(KMSP) - Three boats were damaged in a fire shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday on Lake Minnetonka's Lafayette Bay.

According to Jon Collins with the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, a recreational boat caught fire in Lafayette Bay. All the people onboard were able to get off the boat safely and the boat drifted into a dock that had two other recreational boats.

All three boats were destroyed in the fire, along with the dock.

Authorities say it is unclear what caused the fire. No one was injured in the fire.
