Body of 7-year-old boy recovered from pond in Dodge County
DODGE CENTER, Minn. (KMSP) - The body of a seven-year-old boy was recovered from a pond in rural Dodge County, Minn. according to the Dodge County Sheriff.
Officials received a report at 4:18 p.m. of a missing boy at Naylor's Pond on 160th Avenue North north of Highway 14 in Dodge Center. He had been swimming with his friends when they noticed he had been missing for about ten minutes.
Responders began searching the area. At 7:37 p.m. divers found the boy's body in a deeper area of the pond, where he was last seen by his friends.
The Olmsted County Medical Examiner's Office will complete and autopsy on Wednesday to determine the official cause of death.
