Both drivers killed in head-on crash on Hwy. 55 in Corcoran, Minn.

CORCORAN, Minn. (KMSP) - Both drivers were killed in a head-on crash on Highway 55 in Corcoran, Minnesota Thursday morning. 

At 6:48 a.m., the Corcoran Police Department responded to a crash on the 23000 block of Highway 55 near the border with Medina. Upon arrival, officers found two vehicles involved in a head-on crash. 

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. 

Highway 55 will remain closed for the time being while officials reconstruct the crash and remove the vehicles from the road. 

The identities of the drivers have not been released pending notification of family. 

The crash remains under investigation.
