President Donald Trump’s visit to the Twin Cities metro area Monday came as he's facing criticism for a video he tweeted out meant to show Congresswoman Ilhan Omar being dismissive of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The tweet led to dueling protests outside the trucking company in Burnsville where President Trump was holding a roundtable event.

Supporters of both the president and the congresswoman lined up along the road. holding signs.

Since the president's tweet went out, Omar says she has faced increased death threats and responded by saying, "This is endangering lives. It has to stop."

Over the weekend, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said that Trump wished no "ill will" upon Congresswoman Omar.

Monday morning, the president slammed Omar again on Twitter, criticizing what he calls "anti-Semitic" and "anti-Israel" comments she has made.
