Crews fight house fire in the Baker-Annapolis neighborhood of St. Paul Saturday
ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 9) - St. Paul fire crews battled a house fire after responding to a call of a house explosion at the intersection of Baker Street and Hall Avenue on Saturday.
The intersection is just a few blocks from St. Paul’s Humboldt High School.
Crews were still working to combat the fire just after 4 p.m. Saturday. 14 fire companies, 54 firefighters and 4 supervisory personnel fought the fire for about 3 hours.
A person was inside the home at the time of the fire and made it out of the blaze. He was found outside by neighbors and was treated by crews on the scene. He was taken to a local hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
Xcel Energy also confirmed that its crews were on the scene working with fire officials to disconnect the gas lines to the home.
