Fire prompts evacuation at Waseca Walmart
WASECA, Minn. (KMSP) - A fire broke out at the Walmart in Waseca causing an evacuation of the store, according to the Waseca police and fire departments.
Firefighters responded just before 7 p.m. to a report of a fire at the Walmart in the 2100 block of North State Street. Responders found a fire in the northern area of the store near the frozen food section.
Fire sprinklers went off in the store and crews put out the remaining fire.
No one was injured.
Crews are in the process of clearing smoke from the building.
The Walmart is closed until further notice.
The case will be under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office.
