Friends of the Angel host 'Walk to Remember' in Maple Grove

Saturday, May 5 was reflective morning in Maple Grove, Minnesota as families came together to remember lost loved ones.

For the eighth year in a row, the nonprofit group Friends of the Angel hosted their “Walk to Remember.” The event is held at the Maple Grove Arboretum, which is home to the “Angel of Hope” statue.

This year, the group rededicated the park following a large expansion. While the park is open year-round for families to come and remember, today holds a special meaning.

“It is a time for us to take time and just remember the loss of a loved one, especially a child,” Sarah Kerbeshian, vice president of Friends of the Angel, said.

Around 500 people participated in this year’s event.
