Hastings police officers rescue ducklings trapped in storm drain
HASTINGS, Minn. (KMSP) - Two Hastings police officers lent a helping hand to Mother Nature by jumping into action to rescue nine ducklings trapped in a storm drain.
A concerned citizen called the police department for help Wednesday evening around 5:30 p.m.
Without a hesitation, the officers removed the grate and one of them went into the drain.
The mother duck and another duckling watched on as the police pulled the nine ducklings out one by one to safety.
