Police: Minnetonka man kidnapped ex-girlfriend at gunpoint, remains at large

MINNETONKA, Minn. (KMSP) - Minnetonka Police are looking for a suspect they believe may have kidnapped a woman at gunpoint Thursday afternoon and is still at large, according to a release from the department.

Jahon Douglas of Burnsville was witnessed taking his ex-girlfriend Nicole Smith at gunpoint into a silver 2001 Pontiac Bonneville with license plate 947-WWM just before 4:00 p.m. on the 10300 block of Bren Road in Minnetonka, officials said. The car has four doors, a rear spoiler and one burned out headlight.

The 37-year-old is believed to be armed and dangerous, and police urge anyone with information on the pair's whereabouts to call Minnetonka Police at 952-939-8500.
