Construction worker dies in fatal crash on I-94 in Rogers, Minn.

At 59-year-old man has died after a crash on Interstate 94 at County Road 81 in Rogers, Minnesota.

According to state patrol, shortly after 2 p.m., a Ford F150 with a trailer was heading east on I-94 approaching County Road 81 in Rogers. A single axle Kenworth truck was traveling behind the Ford. The Ford slowed for traffic and was rear-ended by the Kenworth truck.

The Ford then spun into the construction lane, striking two vehicles and two pedestrians in the construction work area. 

One of the pedestrians was killed in the crash. He has been identified as Vernon Carl Hedquist of Pillager The other pedestrian suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Ford, a 30-year-old Minneapolis man, was not injured in the crash.

The driver of the Kenworth, a 47-year-old man, was not injured in the crash.
