Sunday snow totals: Greater metro area sees 3 to 6.5 inches

The Sunday snowstorm delivered about three to five inches throughout the greater Twin Cities metro area.

The snow fell steadily for much of the day causing crashes, spinouts and slowing traffic to a crawl in some places.

Cottage Grove saw 6.5 inches, White Bear Lake received 5.3 inches, Burnsville got 5 inches Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport reported 3.7 inches and Buffalo got 3 inches.

The snow will likely taper east early Sunday evening. The weather will be quiet for only a little while as another round of snow is expected Monday night.
