Two people found dead in Aitkin County home
SPALDING TOWNSHIP, Minn. (KMSP) - The Aitkin County Sheriff's Office is investigating after two people were found dead in a home Tuesday in Spalding Township, which is about 65 miles southwest of Duluth.
Deputies were completing a welfare check on the home, when they discovered the two deceased adults.
Officials had to force their way into the home.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office will identify the adults. Officials do not believe there is a public threat.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting with the investigation.
