Woman says Sen. Franken inappropriately touched her at Minnesota State Fair in 2010
(KMSP) - A second woman has come forward accusing Minnesota Sen. Al Franken of sexual misconduct.
Lindsey Menz, a 33-year-old woman who now lives in Frisco, Texas, told CNN that Sen. Al Franken grabbed her buttocks while they were taking a photo together at the Minnesota State Fair in 2010.
The allegation comes just days after Leann Tweeden, a radio news anchor in Los Angeles, said she was “kissed and groped” by Sen. Al Franken during a USO Tour trip to the Middle East in December 2006.
Menz first detailed the allegation on Twitter Thursday after Tweeden went public with her story.
According to CNN, Menz met Franken and other politicians at a radio booth her father's business was sponsoring at the fair.
"[Franken] pulled me in really close, like awkward close, and as my husband took the picture," he put his hand full fledged on my rear," Menz told CNN. "It was wrapped tightly around my butt cheek."
In a statement to CNN, Franken said he did not remember taking the photo with Menz and that he felt "badly" that she felt disrespected.
"I take thousands of photos at the state fair surrounded by hundreds of people, and I certainly don't remember taking this picture," Franken said. "I feel badly that Ms. Menz came away from our interaction feeling disrespected."
Franken has since apologized in a written letter to Tweeden, which she says she has accepted. He now faces a Senate ethics investigation.
