USA wins 1st Ryder Cup since 2008 at Hazeltine
CHASKA, Minn. (KMSP) - The United States won the Ryder Cup for the first time since 2008 Sunday at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn.
The U.S. reclaimed the Ryder Cup after an eight-year drought with a 17-11 win over Europe. Ryan Moore two-putted on No. 18 Sunday afternoon to secure a win over Lee Westwood, giving the Americans the lead over Europe they needed to seal their victory in the 41st Ryder Cup before Sunday's single's matches were even completed, the Associated Press reported.
