Vikings' Adam Thielen launches foundation with U of M Masonic Children's Hospital
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen and his wife Caitlin launched the Thielen Foundation at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital Tuesday.
The foundation will partner with the pediatric behavioral health unit to help kids overcome adversity and serve as a support system for those dealing with mental challenges. Thielen says stepping up to give back was an easy decision.
“That first visit when you come in here and you see the smiles on the kids’ faces and these kids that have such tough circumstances and yet you’re putting a smile on their face, having fun with them and talking to them, hanging out, so that’s really why we’re here today,” said Thielen.
