MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Two University of Minnesota students went to the hospital after two people assaulted and tried to rob them, according to an advisory from the university's Department of Public Safety.
The incident happened around 1 a.m. Wednesday on the East Bank light rail platform. Two suspects approached the two male students and demanded they turn over their wallets. The suspects assaulted the students when they refused give up their wallets. The suspects later ran off.
The victims suffered bruises and cuts on their faces. Authorities took them to the hospital.
