FRIDLEY, Minn. (KMSP) - One person was killed in a house fire in Fridley, Minnesota Tuesday evening.
Around 8 p.m., the house fire occurred on the 300 block of Hugo Street Northeast. The Fridley Fire Department chief says they believe the deadly blaze started when a kitchen fire got out of hand.
Three people got out of the home safely, but a 24-year-old man who was upstairs died in the fire. When the firefighters arrived, the flames were too strong to attempt a rescue.
The three who got out are receiving help from the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
