1 treated for smoke inhalation after duplex fire in St. Paul, Minn.
ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - One person is being treated for smoke inhalation after a fire in a St. Paul duplex early Sunday morning.
Shortly after 4 a.m., firefighters responded to a call from a resident at the 100 block of Douglas Street where the caller said there was smoke on the second floor.
When they arrived, firefighters found heavy smoke and flames coming from the second floor and quickly extinguished the fire. All residents were safely evacuated.
Nine fire companies and 40 fire department personnel were on the scene for more than two hours.
No other injuries were reported. The department is still investigating the cause of the fire.
