15-year-old boy stabbed, killed in Domino's parking lot in Rochester, Minn.

Police are investigating after a 15-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in a Domino's Pizza parking lot in Rochester, Minn. early Friday.

According to the Rochester Police Department, officers were called to the area around 12:35 a.m. on a report of an altercation. Upon arrival, officers found a teen who had been stabbed and was unresponsive. The victim, identified as Jose Negrete, of Rochester, was transported to St. Mary's Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Around the same time, a vehicle arrived at the hospital with a different 15-year-old boy who had suffered a stab wound to the neck. It is believed he was involved in the same altercation.

"Our investigation to this point shows that these two 15-year-old males were involved in the altercation in the parking lot," Rochester Police Department said. "We believe that there were four to six other individuals in the area at the time of the altercation."

Police said all the people involved are from the Rochester area and range from 13 to 16 years old.

Knives were later recovered from the scene. At this time, no arrests have been made. But police said they do not believe there is a threat to the public from this incident.

No new information is expected to be released until Tuesday morning.
