21CF IMPACT WEEK: Packing care kits for Secondhand Hounds at Fox 9

Fox 9 is participating in the 21st Century Fox’s second annual Impact Week, a nationwide week of service with approximately 3,000 employees volunteering in over 80 events in over 25 cities across the U.S. 

Impact Week is an initiative of 2st Century Fox’s Social Impact program, which aims to help create a business that looks beyond profit to consider the impact we have in the world around us.  All of the volunteering projects employees will participate in this week will serve children, veterans, the environment, shelters and others who need our support. These initiatives represent our values and align with our mission to build a socially responsible business, and a strong and thriving community around us, all while giving our various business units the chance to connect and our teams the chance to meet new colleagues and make new friends. 

On Monday, Fox 9 teamed up with Secondhand Hounds to donate blankets, food and any other supplies shelter pets may need. Chunk & Don’s was also on scene, donating plenty of top-notch supplies. Of course, there were also puppies on site all day, running around and taking much-needed naps. 

On Thursday, Fox 9 employees will assemble sandwiches for 365 Food Program, which distributes them partner shelters and organizations every night. 

Impact Week concludes on Friday, when Fox 9 works with the Conservation Corps to do a waterway cleanup along the Mississippi River.
