3 hurt in shooting behind Minneapolis restaurant

Minneapolis police are searching for a suspect after someone opened fire behind a Lyn-Lake restaurant after closing, leaving three people hurt.

A Minneapolis shooting early Sunday resulted in three people being shot, one of them being critically injured.

According to Minneapolis police, just before 1:45 a.m., officers were near the Casablanca Restaurant and Lounge on the 600 block of Lake Street West when they heard gunfire. Officers then found three people injured by gunfire in the back parking lot of the property.

Police say two women in their 20s suffered apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and a man in his 20s has an apparent life-threatening gunshot wound. All three were taken to the hospital.

Law enforcement said preliminary information shows that an altercation between a group of people outside led to gunfire.

The owner of the restaurant told FOX 9 the shooting happened in the parking lot about 15 minutes after closing time.

Minneapolis police are currently investigating, and no arrests have been made.
