Alligator captured along shoreline in Hardy Lake, Minn.
CASS COUNTY, Minn. (KMSP) - Officials in Cass County were called to Hardy Lake in rural Pillager on Tuesday after someone spotted a small alligator.
Authorities received multiple reports of the alligator in the area. The alligator was found along the shoreline of Hardy Lake.
About a week ago, Crow Wing County officials captured a 3 foot long alligator 5 miles southwest of Brainerd. Officials believe it was someone’s pet that escaped or was released illegally.
Both alligators were transported to the Safari North Wildlife Park in Brainerd.
