BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (FOX 9) - The American Girl store at the Mall of America is closing for good on March 20.
The doll company announced it is closing its retail locations in Bloomington, Minnesota and Boston after their leases expire. It has 17 other retail stores in the U.S.
The American Girl store opened at the Mall of America in 2008. The closure will affect 15 full-time employees and 31 part-time employees.
“It has been our privilege to serve these communities for more than a decade, and we thank our loyal customers for their patronage and look forward to continuing our valued relationship with them,” Wade Opland, vice president of retail for American Girl, said in a statement.
