Ashley Madison user from Minnesota files lawsuit after hack

At least 8 people who signed up for the cheating website Ashley Madison are now suing parent company Avid Life Media after the site was hacked. One of those lawsuits was filed in Minnesota, claiming negligence and breach of contract.

The plaintiffs say Ashley Madison failed to take reasonable steps to protect its users, including those who paid a special fee to have their information deleted.

Hackers released names, addresses and the message history on some of the estimated 37 million Ashley Madison users. The website is offering a $500,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
