Officials from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport confirmed four people were treated for minor injuries in the incident. Three were treated at the scene, while one was taken to a local hospital.
The plane's takeoff was aborted shortly after 9 a.m. due to an engine problem, according to airport officials.
Passengers deplaned from the Boeing 757-300 plane using emergency slides and were taken to a nearby concourse, according to a post on the airport's social media.
There were reportedly 201 passengers on board the plane, which was bound for Minneapolis.
Airport officials added that their operations are delayed because of the severe weather and a ground stop at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has been extended until 2 p.m.
