Avoid holiday decoration thefts this holiday season
(KMSP) - Local law enforcement agencies are warning people about an uptick in thefts of outdoor holiday decorations this season.
The Shakopee Police Department offers a few tips for protecting your decorations from theft:
- Install motion detecting lights
- Zip tie the decorations to something secure
- Use a locking extension cord
- Attach decorations to a yard stake
- Form a neighborhood watch
- Call police if you see anything suspicious
