Blaine police: 'Armed and intoxicated' man in custody
BLAINE, Minn. (FOX 9) - Police in Blaine, Minnesota arrested an "armed and intoxicated" man after a four-hour search that put schools and neighborhoods on high alert Monday.
At 9:35 a.m., officers responded to a domestic violence report at a home on the 9400 block of Monroe Street Northeast. The victim told officers the suspect left the house on foot armed with a handgun and intoxicated.
Officers set up a perimeter around the 9400 block of Monroe Street Northeast. Schools in the area were placed on lockdown and residents were asked to remain inside.
The suspected was located and taken into custody at 1:10 p.m. He has been booked into the Anoka County Jail on possible charges of second degree assault.
