Chief Meteorologist Ian Leonard takes his 191st Polar Plunge
PRIOR LAKE, Minn. (KMSP) - More than $158,000 was raised for Special Olympics Minnesota at the Polar Plunge on Prior Lake Saturday morning.
Fox 9’s Chief Meteorologist Ian Leonard was the Plunge Ambassador at Saturday’s event. It was the 191st Polar Plunge he has participated in. And it won’t be his last.
“I’ll hold your hand and I’ll get you in the water,” he told supporters at the event.
More than 11,000 people have participated in 2018 Polar Plunge events. So far $1,717,386 have been raised for Special Olympics Minnesota this season.
You can take the plunge every weekend through mid-March.
