Despite uncertain start, Grand Old Day marks 2019 a success

ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 9) - Organizers with St. Paul's Grand Old Day event are celebrating another successful year - one that almost didn't happen.

Back in April, the annual day of festivities was canceled due to lack of funds. But then, a group of business owners raised funds to save the celebration. Community members even started a GoFundMe for "Grand Old Day Anyway."

Now, after more than 40 years, Grand Old Day has put another year under its belt.
