Dog killed, man injured after house fire in Rice Lake
RICE LAKE, Minn. (FOX 9) - A dog has died, and a man was injured after a house fire in Rice Lake Saturday evening.

What we know: According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, around 6:45 p.m. authorities responded to a fire on the 4200 block of Schultz Road. At the scene, firefighters found a home fully engulfed in flames.
The homeowner made it out of the house, but suffered from possible smoke inhalation and burns to his hands. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for his burns, authorities said.
There was no one else in the home, but a dog was unaccounted for. Law enforcement says the dog was later found dead inside the home.
What we don't know: Authorities say they are investigating the cause of the fire, but foul play is not currently suspected.
Officials did not say if the home was a total loss.
