Eagan PD looking to return stolen youth soccer jerseys to owners
EAGAN, Minn. (KMSP) - Police in Eagan, Minnesota are looking for the owners of more than three dozen stolen youth soccer uniforms they recovered during an incident Tuesday.
While responding to a disturbance near Corporate Center Drive and Pilot Knob Road around 10 a.m., officers arrested a man suspected in a theft at Twin Cities Premium Outlets. During the investigation, they discovered more than $1,000 worth of stolen clothing, including 40 brand new youth soccer uniforms.
The uniforms include both yellow and black jerseys, as well as navy blue and red jerseys. They have the name "Karen Youth United" emblazoned on the back.
Eagan Police Department spokesperson Aaron Machtemes said they could not find any team by that name, so they are reaching out to the public to help spread the word.
Anyone who knows who the jerseys belong to is asked to contact the Eagan Police Department.
