Water emergency personnel and diving crews are on scene at Lake Harriet in south Minneapolis after a 43-year-old man went under water around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The man was at the lake with his family when he went under quickly right near a swimming dock.

Police have blocked off the north shore beach as crews search for the possible drowning victim. Officials are calling it a "recovery" at this time.

The swimming area drops off quickly at Lake Harriet, and crews told Fox 9 that the missing man is not a good swimmer.
