SHAKOPEE, Minn. (KMSP) - Police are investigating an explosion at a glass company Friday in Shakopee, Minnesota.
The explosion occurred at Anchor Glass Container at 4108 Valley Industrial Boulevard. The Shakopee Police Department said no one was injured.
The explosion leveled a fire suppression building, which houses the sprinkler system to the plant. It's unclear if production can continue at the plant after the explosion.
Anchor Glass confirmed gas was cut off to the building that exploded, but it's unclear if gas was the cause of the explosion. Agencies responding to the scene include Shakopee Police and Fire, Prior Lake Fire, Chaska Fire and Shakopee Public Utilities.
