During the funeral for fallen Wayzata police officer William Mathews, the pastor shared a special story.

According to the pastor, Officer Mathews once pulled over Vikings player Kyle Rudolph and gave him a ticket.

“The guys at the station said, ‘Do you know who you just pulled over?’ Bill was not a football guy so he didn’t know much about this. He said, ‘Sure I do, his name is Kyle Rudolph.’ Later, he learned he was a Viking and then Shawn [Bill’s wife] told me for the first time this year they did a football fantasy thing and who was the number two guy he took? Yeah, Kyle Rudolph. Now that’s not the best choice, but [Bill] was loyal,” he shared.
