Crash near Hastings kills driver, seriously injures passenger
HASTINGS, Minn. (FOX 9) - A two-vehicle crash in Dakota County left a driver dead and his passenger with serious injuries on Wednesday afternoon.

What we know:
The Minnesota State Patrol crash report indicates the collision happened around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 61 and 190th Street in Marshan Township, located just south of Hastings.
The driver of a Hyundai Elantra was traveling east on 190th Street and collided with the driver of a Chevy Silverado, who was traveling west on Highway 61, at the intersection.
The Chevy Silverado driver, identified as a 42-year-old woman from Cannon Falls, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The Hyundai Elantra driver, a 38-year-old man from Burnsville, died as a result of the crash. His passenger, a 29-year-old woman from Burnsville, was transported to Regions Hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the report.
The report did not say what led to the crash, but alcohol is not considered a factor.
