ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - St. Paul police are investigating a fatal shooting near St. Albans Street North and Fuller Avenue in St. Paul.

Police say officers responded to the shooting around 2:30 p.m., finding a man lying on the sidewalk.

St. Paul resident Rondell Quantrell Dunn was later pronounced dead at Regions Hospital. He was 25.

A spokesman for St. Paul police says officers have seen "an uptick" in shots fired reports in St. Paul recently.

Police say this incident was not related to the shooting at the Dale Street light rail station, which happened just hours later a couple blocks away.
