Fox 9 meteorologist Steve Frazier passes away

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Our dear friend and Fox 9 colleague, meteorologist Steve Frazier, passed away today.

Steve was one-of-a-kind. Never a negative word passed by his lips – a true beacon of positivity. He was a magnet for making new friends and delighted in his old friends.  

He would give you the shirt off his back, even with a hanger still attached (old joke). He was a one-man PR firm, making even the worst news somehow OK. A champion of social media, Steve had thousands of loyal followers. As many of those followers know, Steve had been fighting pancreatic cancer.

Steve had a lot of loyal friends from here at Fox 9 and all around the media community. He told many of those friends recently that he was “at peace."

We will keep Steve in our thoughts and prayers.
