Gas leak at 9th and Nicollet in downtown Minneapolis

Minneapolis firefighters and police responded to a gas line rupture at 9th Street and Nicollet Mall late Friday morning. The incident was reported at 10:32 a.m., and by 11 a.m. the fire commander ordered a full first alarm response.
Several buildings on 9th Street, 10th Street, Marquette Avenue and Nicollet Mall were evacuated as crews evaluated the scene.
