Gophers to open NCAA baseball tournament against Canisius College
The University of Minnesota opens up the NCAA tournament at home Friday against Canisius College.
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - The Minnesota Gopher baseball team learned their fate for the NCAA tournament Monday.
The #1 seed in their region Gophers, who are hosting the tournament for the first time since 2000, will open the up against Canisius College (Buffalo, New York) Friday 7 p.m. at Siebert Field. Gophers are #14 seed overall.
The other side of the Gophers’ bracket, also played at Siebert Field, will match up Gonzaga (Spokane, Washington) vs. UCLA.
The double elimination bracket, will be played each day through Sunday with a game seven on Monday if necessary.
