(FOX 9) - With wind chills expected to hit 35 to 55 below zero this week, the Hennepin and Ramsey County sheriff’s offices are working together to help residents in need.
The two offices will be working with other organizations to help find shelter for homeless individuals as well as asking for donations of winter clothing and non-perishable food
Hennepin County will have four locations where you can drop off items between 8:00 a.m and 10:00 p.m.
- Sheriff’s Office Administration: 350 South Fifth Street, Room 6 Minneapolis, MN 55415
- Sheriff’s Patrol Headquarters: 9401 83rd Avenue North Brooklyn Park, MN 55445
- Sheriff’s Water Patrol Headquarters: 4141 Shoreline Dr. Spring Park, MN 55384
- Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Facility: 1245 Shenandoah Lane Plymouth, MN 55447
Ramsey County will have two drop off sites also open between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
- Sheriff’s Office: 425 Grove Street Saint Paul, MN 55101
- Sheriff’s Patrol Station: 1411 Paul Kirkwold Drive Arden Hills, MN 55112
In addition to the drop-off sites, both sheriff's offices will have extra patrols on duty to help provide transportation to the shelters.
