(FOX 9) - The Mega Millions jackpot jumped to $1.15 billion after no one won the Christmas Eve drawing.  But, if you're thinking of buying a ticket, here's a look at your odds of winning.

The background: The odds of winning the jackpot, which requires all five numbers plus the Mega Ball, are one in roughly 302 million.

Ticket buyers are more likely to win the American presidency, which happens to one in 32 million people. A person is also more likely to get struck by lightning twice or get eaten by a shark, which happens to one in 19 million and one in 264 million people, respectively.

Even becoming a movie star, however unlikely, is more likely than winning the jackpot. It happens to one in 1.5 million people.
