Minneapolis police arrest Maple Grove theater shooting suspect
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Minneapolis police surrounded a north side home at gunpoint Monday afternoon and arrested the man wanted in Saturday night's shooting of 2 people in the parking lot of the AMC Arbor Lakes 16 movie theater in Maple Grove, Minn.
Officers surrounded the area near 53rd Avenue N. and Logan Avenue N. just after 3:30 p.m. Monday before taking 23-year-old Cortez Quincy Foster into custody. Foster is charged with 2 counts of attempted murder.
Saturday night's shooting happened in the parking lot of the theater around 9:30 p.m. The victims drove away from the theater and later called 911 from a Wendy's on 71st Avenue, about 4 miles away, in Brooklyn Park, Minn.
