Minneapolis Public Schools names 2 finalists for superindent

After months of interviews, Minneapolis Public Schools has narrowed its list of candidates for superintendent down to two finalists.

The two finalists are Brenda Cassellius, the Minnesota Commissioner of Education, and Ed Graff, the superintendent of the Anchorage School District in Anchorage, Alaska. The finalists were selected by a committee comprised of Minneapolis Board of Education directors, community members and MPS staff.

The Board of Education will interview each of the finalists on May 17 and will meet to vote and approve a contract for the new superintendent before May 27.

The public is invited to meet the finalists at a community reception on May 16. More details can be found here. The board will start take public comments on the finalists on May 23.
