Minnesota Zoo welcomes 2 new pumas found orphaned in the wilderness
APPLE VALLEY, Minn. (FOX 9) - Two new cubs have been welcomed to the Minnesota Zoo after they were discovered in the wilderness without a mother to care for them.
Blizzard and snow
Their backstory: The Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley said the cubs are about six months old and were found in the wilderness by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife in November 2024.
Wildlife officials then determined the cubs were orphaned, and that they would not be able to hunt or care for themselves independently.
The Minnesota Zoo then provided them with a forever home after the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife reached out.
Snow has a darker spot of fur on his forehead while Blizzard does not.
