Minnesota Zoo receives 'overwhelming' number of tips about missing owl
APPLE VALLEY, Minn. (FOX 9) - The Minnesota Zoo is still searching for Gladys, the Eurasian eagle owl that went missing during a routine training session earlier this month.
The zoo has received an "overwhelming" number of tips from people trying to help find Gladys, spokesperson Zach Nugent said. Now, zoo officials are sorting them out, as some tips could be great horned owls which look similar.
Nugent said if the zoo does locate Gladys, zookeepers will try to entice her with her favorite foods and enrichment toys to get her to come back.
Anyone who thinks they have seen Gladys is asked to reach out to the zoo.
