MN Wild gives peewee teams the NHL experience
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Two Peewee hockey teams got the NHL game night experience put on by the Minnesota Wild.

The Minnesota Wild pulled out the red carpet for these youngsters. They had custom jerseys, got a locker room pep talk, and arrived at the hockey arena like NHL stars.
"He really felt like he was a professional coming off the bus," said Sarah Frailich a hockey parent.
The star-studded experience was all a surprise for the Minnesota and Saint Paul peewee teams. They dressed the part when they arrived at Northeast Arena in Minneapolis.
"My son was the first guy coming off the bus. He wore his sunglasses, he wore a blazer, and he had the biggest smile on his face," said Frailich.
What happened when they got to the ice rink

After they arrived at the ice rink, they heard motivational words from celebrity coach and former Minnesota Wild players Wes Walz and Nate Prosser. The youngsters got to hear how to better play on the ice and in life.
"Just be coachable. Later in life, you’re not going to have hockey coaches. You’re going to have bosses," said Wes Walz.

Then it came time to hit the ice. Both teams ran out like they were about to play for the Minnesota Wild.
"It’s kind of crazy, with all the people and just seeing the tunnel, going through," said Marko Williams of the Minneapolis Titans.
Williams is one of many players on Wednesday night who may want to go pro one day. So he hung onto the words Walz said in the locker room.
"Make hockey plays, don’t fool around with the puck, make plays," said Williams.
This is the eighth season the Wild has hosted youth hockey spotlight games. Another takeaway message from the former Wild player to the youngsters is just to go out and have fun on the ice.
