Minnesota specialized license plates
The backstory: Funds from the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR) Office plates go to the Gaagige-Mikwendaagoziwag Reward Account, which was created to support local investigations to help with the growing number of missing and murdered indigenous people.
The Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, Lynx, Wild and United teams were designed by the teams themselves. Funds from the plates go to charitable organizations picked by each team, according to a news release announcing the new plates in 2023.
Funds from the Lions Club plates, which is a nonprofit community and humanitarian service organization, supports the organization itself.
